Stage 1
Your gown will be inspected prior to cleaning to ascertain what treatment will benefit it best.

Stage 2

Stage 3

Stage 4

Stage 5

When a garment is not in use, empty it's and hang it on a solid shaped and curved hanger. This helps prevent distortion in the shape of the garment.

Protect your clothes from moths by having them dry cleaned (moths love dirty clothes), store them in cloth bags out of season and place a natural anti moth like Collibri in your wardrobes and drawers. Discouraging the adult moth from laying it’s larvae on your clothes can help save you from the distress of having holes in them. Although, moth damage can be repaired by a process known as reweaving, it is extremely expensive so a preventative measure is far more economical and headache free.

Don’t store your clothes in the polythene (especially whites and pastel colours) as poly contains anti static agent which, after a while and when it is warm, it gives off gases which will oxidise the garment, which will leave yellowish stains which are impossible to remove.

When storing your clothes keep them out of sunlight and artificial light. Ultra violet light damages the dyes in clothes.

Rotating your wardrobe between seasons has the advantage of stopping your clothes from getting squashed and creased. Clothes like to breathe!

The main cause of wear in clothes is friction, dirt, dust and grit that accumulate in the fabric. Regular brushing does much to prolong their life.

Place brown paper between the iron and garment and constantly move the iron to avoid overheating the leather. Too much heat will cause discolouration and damage to leather and suede.

Leather and suede require special expertise for proper care. The best way to keep your suede jacket looking like velvet is to brush it lightly, and regularly. Leather and suede need to be reconditioned periodically to ensure that suede doesn't fade, and that surface cracks don't develop on finished leather due to dryness. Smooth leathers in good condition can be re-conditioned at home with Fine Leather Lotion.

Always store Leather and Suede garments in breathable garment bags during off season periods.

In many cases, even a badly stained leather or suede garment can be saved, but each one can be different. There are many variables when you take in to account the cause of the stain with different types of leather.
